| Roy was born in Georgia but moved to California for college where he was quickly entranced by the emerging world of moving pictures. He became intimate with a girl he met there, and began going steady with her. At some point it seems she is going to leave him for the leading man in a film she is working on. He was offered a job on one of her films as a stunt man and though it didn't pay well he graciously took it, in an attempt to win her back. This was one of the worst decisions he'd ever made, as, soon after, while performing his first and biggest stunt of his life, he jumped off a train bridge, landed on his horse, and broke his back. At that time, he lost the use of both legs and is currently bedridden in the hospital awaiting surgery after surgery in order to get better. However, while in the hospital he discovers his girlfriend is not changing her mind about leaving him. Roy cannot take this, and despite the large settlement the production company is allowing him to have because of his injuries, the only thing he wants now is death. |
| Personality |
| Roy was likely once full of life and vigor and humor. He's very smart - college educated in a time where that wasn't necessarily common - and was previous to his accident an athletic and physically active individual. The accident, however, and the loss of his steady girlfriend, has sucked that out of him and he wants nothing of the life he could have now. Its only the meeting of a little girl Alexandria that helps him through it at all, and even then he is using a story (taken form the film he was in, the Odyssy, and other plaigarized stories) in order to get her to steal morphine for him so he can OD he eventually pulls himself out of it enough to at least survive |
